User Agreement

Welcome to Peerlinks!

This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of the Peerlinks platform and sets forth the terms and conditions that you agree to abide by while using our services. By accessing or using Peerlinks, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

BETA VERSION: This beta version of Peerlinks is a testing environment designed for the purpose of gathering user feedback and identifying potential improvements. It’s important to note that the beta version will perform by invitation only joining in the platform. We encourage all users to actively participate in this process by reporting any bugs, providing feedback on user experience, and suggesting features or enhancements. Your valuable input during this phase will play a crucial role in refining and perfecting the platform before its full-scale release. We appreciate your dedication to helping us create a seamless and effective scientific networking experience for researchers worldwide. In this ‘BETA VERSION’ section, it is clarified that the Peerlinks platform is currently in the testing phase. The brand Peerlinks will not assume responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by users. Testimonials are representation only. *

1. Eligibility: To use Peerlinks, you must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By using our platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. User Responsibilities: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account.
3. Prohibited Conduct: While using Peerlinks, you agree not to engage in any conduct that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, offensive, or violates the rights of others. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
   • Posting or sharing content that infringes upon intellectual property rights or violates any third-party rights.
   • Impersonating another person or entity or falsely representing your affiliation with a person or entity.
   • Engaging in spamming, phishing, or other malicious activities that may compromise the security or integrity of the platform or its users.
   • Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or legal obligations.
4. Content Ownership and License: You retain ownership of the content you create and post on Peerlinks. However, by submitting or sharing content on the platform, you grant Peerlinks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving our services. This license terminates when you delete your content or terminate your account, except to the extent that your content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.
5. Intellectual Property: Peerlinks and its associated trademarks, logos, and other proprietary materials are the exclusive property of Peerlinks. You agree not to use our intellectual property in any manner that is likely to cause confusion or dilution, or in a way that infringes upon our rights. Any unauthorized use of our intellectual property is strictly prohibited.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties: Peerlinks provides its services “as is” and does not make any warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of the platform or its content. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Peerlinks, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold Peerlinks, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your breach of this Agreement or your use of the platform.
9. Termination: Peerlinks reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account or restrict your access to the platform at any time and for any reason, without prior notice. You may also terminate your account at any time by following the designated process.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal actions or proceedings arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be exclusively brought in the courts located within East Midnapore of West Bengal, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. Peerlinks does not recognize any other jurisdiction unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. You and Peerlinks commit to making good-faith efforts to resolve any disputes through discussions, negotiations, and mediation before pursuing litigation. Any claim against Peerlinks must be discussed and filed within one month of your knowledge of the existence of such claim, else that will be considered as invalid.
11. Changes to the Agreement: Peerlinks may modify or update this Agreement from time to time, and any such changes will be effective upon posting the updated Agreement on the platform. It is your responsibility to review this Agreement periodically to stay informed of any updates.
12. Refund: The Peerlinks platform registration fee is non-refundable. Peerlinks Premium subscriptions, including Learner, Excellence, and Experts plans, can be refunded within 7 days from the date of subscription activation. Upon cancellation of your Premium subscription, all corresponding features, including messaging and other premium access, will expire at the end of your current billing cycle. Please be aware that subscribing or engaging in any financial transactions may incur foreign transaction fees.
